Can you believe it?! Your baby is about to turn one! You may be wondering where the heck this year has gone, but your baby has evolved into a whole different tiny human. One of the most popular ways to commemorate this milestone is with a first birthday portrait session and cake smash. Cake smash sessions are some of my favorites at my Navarre cake smash photography studio. You may be tempted to DIY your cake smash, but here are three reasons you should hire a professional photographer.

I’m going to start with the most obvious reason to hire a pro, and that is professional lighting and equipment and the know-how to use it. I have the knowledge to make your baby the star of the show while still showcasing the beautiful setup. After your session, professional editing software will be used to edit your images to perfection, making the colors pop and the images look polished and professional.

The second reason is to make it easier on you! You have enough going on in your life, so handing the planning of your baby’s cake smash over to me is a no-brainer! We will work together on picking the theme, and the next thing you have to do is show up at the studio for your session! I take care of all the props, ordering the cake, buying the outfits, and setting everything up. Even better, I take care of all the cleanup! And you know how messy a cake smash session can be!
