You are making an investment in your family's memories, and I am excited to be along for the journey! My goal is to make your portrait session as fun and painless as possible for you! I hope that this outline helps guide the process for you.
Each session is different and I am not a one-size-fits-all studio. I will work with you to put together the perfect session for your child or family.
I am available by email, text or phone to answer any questions before and after your session.
Once you have decided to book a session with me, we'll talk (in person, over email, or on the phone) about your goals for your session. We'll discuss locations, what to wear, props, and all the details related to your session. I want to get to know you a little bit better!
I'll send over a link to your personal Client Portal, with helpful guides, a questionnaire, and more. A $50 retainer is required to hold your session date.
After the consultation, we'll nail down the details based on your questionnaire and session goals. You are welcome to send me pictures of outfits you have in mind, poses and groupings you like, and any props you plan to bring with you. I'll be here alongside you every step of the way to answer any questions you may have.
In the days before your session, I'll be in touch to confirm all of the details, and with a weather check if we are shooting outdoors.
The big day is here and it's time for your portrait session! Be sure to leave extra time to arrive to the studio or our location to allow time for last minute makeup and hair touchups, wiping of faces, and all of those little details.
Consider bringing a (clean!) snack and water for the kids, extra outfits in case of diaper blowouts or accidents, and other items on your checklist (found in the Client Portal).
Now it's time to relax, sit back, and enjoy your portrait session!
About 7-10 days after your session, you'll receive a link to view the watermarked proofs from your session. These images will have been lightly edited for you to make your selections. Once you have decided, I will do your final edits, which include all the little details - fixing any skin issues in newborns, removing people from the background on the beach, etc., and send over a new link where you can download your edited images.
Both galleries include options for you to purchase professional prints, albums, announcements, and other products.
After placing your product order, I will make sure every image looks it's best and order your products from my carefully chosen professional labs. Depending on what you order, items can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to arrive (prints and announcements take a week or less, while custom handmade albums and frames can take longer).
As soon as I have checked to be sure your products are perfect, we will arrange a time for pick up at the studio, or I will get them in the mail to you.
