newborn sessions

Having a baby is one of the most amazing and emotional experiences in your life, and we want to help you remember those first days forever. By having photos taken of your new baby, you can easily taken back to those feelings and emotions.

Our studio provides a safe and comfortable environment for you and your baby as we capture these moments. Our parent area has a fridge filled with bottled water as well as a coffee and tea bar. Our futon folds out to a bed for you to catch up on sleep, or bring your thank you notes to get some work done as your baby is being photographed.

The best time to photograph your new love is between 5 and 21 days old, while they are still so sleepy and curly. It’s best to book your session in your second trimester, as I only take a limited amount of newborns each month. Once you are ready to book, we’ll tentatively schedule your session for seven days after your due date, and adjust as necessary once baby arrives.

Contact me to schedule a consultation or to get on my calendar for your due date. We’ll go over your goals for the session, colors and poses you love (and those you don’t), and plan your perfect session.

The Experience

Each session will be based on your wants & wishes. I'll help you choose what to wear, and can suggest the perfect location. You also have access to my client closet gowns and props. You can choose to do your session solo, or with your partner and other children.

From your first inquiry through the delivery of your images, prints, albums, and wall art, I have the experience and attention to detail to make sure nothing is overlooked.

from start to finish

Once you have decided to book a session with me, we'll talk (in person, over email, or on the phone) about your goals for your session. We'll discuss locations, what to wear, props, and all the details related to your session. I want to get to know you a little bit better!

I'll send over a link to your personal Client Portal, with helpful guides, a questionnaire, and more. A $75 retainer is required to hold your session date.

Say Hello

Step 1 of 5

After the consultation, we'll nail down the details based on your questionnaire and session goals. You are welcome to send me pictures of outfits you have in mind, poses and groupings you like, and any props you plan to bring with you. I'll be here alongside you every step of the way to answer any questions you may have.

In the days before your session, I'll be in touch to confirm all of the details, and with a weather check if we are shooting outdoors.

prep for your session

Step 2 of 5

The big day is here and it's time for your portrait session! Be sure to leave extra time to arrive at our location to allow time for last minute makeup and hair touchups, wiping of faces, and all of those little details.

Consider bringing a snack and water for the kids, extra outfits in case of diaper blowouts or accidents, and other items on your checklist (found in the Client Portal).

Now it's time to relax, sit back, and enjoy your portrait session!

it's our session day!

Step 3 of 5

About 7-10 days after your session, you'll receive a link to view the watermarked proofs from your session. These images are been lightly edited for you to make your selections. Once you have decided, I will do your final edits, which include all the little details - removing people from the background, etc., and send over a new link where you can download your edited images.

image selection & delivery

Step 4 of 5

After placing your product order, I will make sure every image looks it's best and order your products from my carefully chosen professional labs. Depending on what you order, items can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to arrive (prints and announcements take a week or less, while custom handmade albums and frames can take longer).

As soon as I have checked to be sure your products are perfect, we will arrange a time for pick up at the studio, or I will get them in the mail to you.
